Cathi is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed and a Graduate with Distinction of CATCH Canine Trainers’ Academy. She has also completed certification programs for Dog Walking, Pet Sitting, and Pet First Aid. Cathi competes in and judges a variety of dog sports. In addition to being a long-time rescue volunteer, she has acted as Agro Boss and Field Team Boss on a FEMA recognized Disaster Animal Response Team. She’s also done a fair amount of humane investigations. Cathi’s experience is not limited to small animals. She once trained horses and taught riding lessons. Her passion for animals is evident in all her interactions. She has an insatiable thirst for knowledge and regularly attends conferences and seminars and is an avid reader of pet-related books.

Cathi originally hails from Chicago. More recently, she’s lived in Northern Illinois and in Minnesota. She lives with her heart dog, Australian Cattle Dog/Boxer, Lefty and recently lost her beloved Shih Poo, Jazzy. Both dogs have dozens of titles in a multitude of sports and venues. When not working, Cathi enjoys competing in dog sports, trivia and board games, Road Rallye, and road trips.
